Why should I get DSL Service with 99main?
With 99main you get solid local service and tech support with no gimmicks, no hidden requirements, and no long term contracts. We do not re-sell AT&T services - the equipment, DSL network and bandwidth are our own. We rely on AT&T to provide the phone line only. By allowing AT&T to provide the telephone line for the physical connection this allows us to concentrate on what we do best; internal network integrity, stability and tech support.
99main maintains 5 separate Internet backbones with major bandwidth providers; in the event one of them fails 4 more are available to seamlessly maintain the quality of the service. 99main has been providing personal and business Internet access and web hosting services since 1996. We have the knowledge and skill to make sure your service is maintained with the highest quality.

How do I get DSL?
First thing you should do is make sure your computer system is capable of running the hardware and software required for DSL. Please compare your system configuration to the basic templates below:
- PC:
- Operating system: Windows XP, 7, 8 or above
- Must have O/S supported Network/Ethernet interface
- Must have available electrical outlet for ADSL modem
- Macintosh:
- Power PC or better
- MacOS - 7.5 or above, MacOS X recommended
- Must have O/S supported Network/Ethernet interface
- Must have available electrical outlet for ADSL modem
- DHCP client software (supported by OpenTransport (MacOS 7.5))
- UNIX/Linux/*BSD (unofficially supported):
- RedHat Linux 6.2 (or greater) or Sun Solaris 2.6 or greater or other UNIX or UNIX-like operating system with DHCP and/or PPPoE client software available
- Must have O/S supported Network/Ethernet interface
- Must have available electrical outlet for ADSL modem
- DHCP client software if you want the modem to authenticate you, PPPoE software if you want the client machine to do authentication.
Everything sounds good, I'd like to see if DSL is available for me!
Before you can get DSL service we need to pre-qualify your line. Since AT&T owns all of the physical equipment to connect DSL customers to their ISPs you must have, at a minimum, a local phone line with AT&T.
The Qualification allows us to check:
- That the phone number being qualified is provided by AT&T
- That the Central Office and/or RT in your area supports DSL equipment
- That you are within 14,000 feet of a qualifying Central Office or RT
What is each piece of information for?
- We need telephone number of the location you wish to qualify; this is needed to determine which central office the location is connected to.
- We also need the address of the phone line you wish to qualify; this is used to determine the distance (wire length) from the central office.
- In addition, we will need your name and e-mail/contact phone number so we can let you know the results.
Please fill out this form for DSL pre-qualification.
